Ladakh that

opportunities. Ladakh is a magical and remote moonscape and its mountains
spectacular,the people delightful ,gentle and ungrasping;its religion
ancient and its monastries unaltered over a period of time.This land of
wilderness and overwhelming natural beauty beckons the more intense and
adventurous traveler.
Day 1 :Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel Stay for two nights in Delhi.
Day 2 :Delhi
Full day sightseeing of Delhi to include Qutub Minar ,
Humanyun's
tomb,laxminarayan temple and government buildings.
Day 3 :Leh
Transfer to airport for flight to Leh.Arrive Leh and transfer directly to
Uletokpo(distance 62 kms-drive time-21/2 hours)Uletokpo camp is an ideal
destination off the beaten track,on the banks of the famous Indus
river.Being 2000 ft lower than Leh it is an ideal place for acclimatisation
.Stay is for two nights.
Day
4 : Likir
Excursion to Likir(2kms from Uletokpo) and Alchi monastery(5kms).Return to
camp by lunch time and rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 5 : Leh
Transfer to Leh via Lamayuru(distance from Uletokpo to Lamayuru-63 kms
drive time-21/2 hours)Lamayauru is a photegenic monastery on the old silk
route.Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 : Hemis
Full day excursion to Hemis monastery(45kms -drive time 11/2 hours).
Day 7 : leisure
Full day at leisure.Optionally you may like to undertake rafting on the
Indus river.

8 :Mankarmovia
Morning trek to Mankarmovia Stok ,visiting Stok palace and Stok gompa.It is
a gradual trek for 11 kms and can be covered in about 4 hours.
Day
9 :Phyangand Spituk
Morning excursion to Phyangand Spituk .Return to hotel.Afternoon excursion
to Shankar gompa and Shanti stupa.
Day 10 : Shey
Morning excursion to Shey and Thiksey with afternoon free to visit Leh
bazaar(market).
Day 11 : Delhi
Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi.On arrival in Delhi transfer to
hotel for overnight.
Day 12 :Transfer to airport
Transfer to airport for onward flight home.
Day 13 :Back home
Transfer to airport for flight back home.
