Wangduephodrang Punakha Paro - Delhi
Day 1 :Arrival Delhi
As you arrive in
Delhi on the 1st day
of the tour, our executive will receive you with the warm welcome and
transfer you to the hotel. In the afternoon we will have enough time to take
the sightseeing tour of the city. We will be exploring several important
historical places of Delhi such as
Qutab Minar,
Red fort and
Jama Masjid. After the
sightseeing tour of the city we will come back to the hotel for the
overnight stay.
Day 2 : Delhi -Kathmandu -Paro
On the 2nd day of the tour after the breakfast we will pack our bags and
get ready to transfer to the Indira Gandhi International Airport to catch
the flight for Paro via Kathmandu. During the flight we will breath-taking
view of the mountains. By the time you reach Paro, you will receive a warm
welcome by our executive and escorted to the hotel in Paro. You would be
feeling exhausted so you will have ample time to take rest that will charge
you up for the next day.
Day 3 : Paro
3rd day of the tour will be most exciting and adventurous day of the tour.
Today we will be taking the sightseeing tour of the Paro valley. The
glorious views of the the green fields give us the most salubrious
breathing. While enjoying the pleasant journey we will have the greater
possibilities to have encounter with the red pandas and blue sheep on the
way. We will pass through the isolated farms that produces the Bhutan's
famous red rice. We will enchant with the farmers working in the field to
know about their lifestyle. First of all we will visit the Thatshang Gompa
(Tiger's nest). It is believed that the Buddhist saint Padmasambhava came in
the 7th century on a flying tigress and mediated in the cave for three
months. We will take the tea and snacks break in the cafeteria. After tea we
will visit the Kyichu Lhakang This is the small Monastery where only the men
are allowed to enter inside the temple. Thereafter we will take the packed
lunch. After the lunch we will visit the Drukgyel Dzong, which is a ruined
fortress. Afterward we will picnic alongside the Pa - Chu river surrounded
by the oak, spruce and pine forests. Than in the evening we will explore the
row of shops that line the main road built in the traditional architecture.
Day 4: Paro- Thimphu
On the 4th day of the tour we will have full day in our hand to take the
excursion trip in the town of Thimphu. The place is full of sightseeing
spots and our Buddhist tour becomes much more vibrant here. Firstly we drive
towards the Memorial Chorten A huge stupa built in the memory of the
third King who reigned from 1952- 1972. Than we will visit the Handicrafts
Emporium from where we will buy the Bhutanese textiles and other arts and
crafts items. After that hot lunch will be served to us. There after we will
visit the National Library, where ancient manuscripts have been preserved.
Than comes the Tashichho Dzong the main secretarial building In the
evening we will shop for traditional jewellery, masks, wooden products,
carpets and other items which we can take back home. We will also purchase
the beautiful stamps from the post office. Than we will drive back through
the villages and pine forests to reach the hotel booked for us in advance.
Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5 :Thimphu Wangduephodrang - Punakha
In the morning of the 5th day of the tour we will following the winding
road to Wangdi. On the way we will spot the endangered black necked cranes.
En-route we will stop for the local tea called Suja at the Dochu- La pass.
On the way we will get the magnificent view of the Himalayas. The frozen
peak of Himalayas, appears as if putting the milky cap on its head. The
surrounding areas will stun us with the glorious beauty. After lunch we will
drive towards the Punakha and will visit the Punakha Dzong, which is one of
the most beautiful Dzongs in Punakha. In the evening we will visit the
Metshina village. We will take a walk through the rice fields and converse
with the local villagers. At night we will have ema-dartsi, the typical
Bhutanese dish with the villagers. We will spend overnight in the hotel in
Wangdi.
Day 6 :Wangdi Phubjikha Wangdi
The best adventurous moment of the tour comes on the 6th day of the tour.
Today we will taking the excursion trip to the Phubjikha Valley- which is
the glacier valley. We will enjoy the breathtaking view of the black
mountains. It also borders the Black Mountains National Park, where we get
the best opportunity to spot the wild animals. We will be capturing these
precious moments in the camera and show it to all our friends. We will be
indulging in bird watching. We will spot the minute species of birds through
our binoculars. After spending the whole day exploring the beautiful
Phubjikha valley we will return back to the Wangdi guest house for the
overnight stay.
Day
7 :Wangdi - Paro
In the morning of the 7th day of the tour we will get up early and after
taking the breakfast we will drive towards the Paro. We will glimpse the
prayer flags in between the route. We will drive along the herds of yak. We
will witness the winter home of the yak herders. After some time when we
will reach Paro, we will check in the hotel. We will take rest in the
afternoon. In the evening we will enjoy the cultural programme of the masked
and folk dancers. In the dinner we will have yak meat. Overnight in the
hotel.
Day 8 : Paro - Delhi
After the breakfast on the 8th day of the tour you will be transferred to
the Paro Intentional Airport for the flight to Delhi. You will be received
by our representative at the airport and transferred to the hotel for the
overnight stay.
Day 9 : Delhi Departure
9th is the last day of the tour. In the morning we will be taking the
sightseeing tour of the metro-politian city. Today we will shop from the
famous market called Janpat in Cannaught Place. After that you will be
transferred to the Indira Gandhi International Airport for the international
connection.
