Park
Discover the chirpy birds of India! Know the song of
nature which these birds create in a symphoney . Bird Watching in India can
never be so pleasing if it is not done with us. We have covered one of the
best known destinations popular for Bird watching - Corbett. We have
customized this tour just for you so that you could get to know more about
the bird species. We would provide you a tour executive who would take care
of your travel plan. We want you to unfold the life of these birds - a
mystery to many.
Day - 01 : Delhi
As you land at Delhi's airport, you will find our assistant waiting for
you. He will escort you and take you the hotel that you have mentioned us to
book. Relax in the hotel room and you will be served with lunch. You can
choose between Indian, Chinese, Italian and Inter-Continental. After lunch,
either you can rest in the hotel room or can take a small tour to Delhi;
depending upon the location of your hotel. If it is in Central Delhi, you
can visit, eat and shop at Connaught Place, visit Jantar Mantar which is an
astronomical observatory and can spend evening leisurely, at India Gate. If
your hotel is located in South Delhi, we can take you for a sightseeing tour
to Qutab Minar,
Humayun's Tomb and
Lotus Temple, which are some of the
marvelous and grand edifices of Delhi. For Old Delhi visitors, there can be
nothing better than a walking tour around Chandani Chowk which is old town
with rusty buildings and century old shops. After this sightseeing tour,
come back to hotel by eight in the evening and have dinner. Pack your
luggage as we would be moving to Pangot, next morning. Make an overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day - 02 :Aim Pangot (Nainital)
We would give you a wakeup call at around six in the morning. Have morning
tea or coffee with light refreshments and leave for Pangot at around seven.
Pangot is about 400km from Delhi. It takes 7-8 hours to reach here. The
journey takes you through spectacular mountain ranges and delightful Lake
City at Kumaon Hills.Light packed refreshments and water will be
provided to you for the journey. Upon your arrival at Pangot, we would
transfer you to a wildlife cottage that we have booked for you. Have lunch
here and rest for some time. After an hour, we would take you for a birding
tour with a trained guide to spot some of the most beautiful birds here.
Stop in the way and you can see birds like: blue whistling thrush,
red-billed blue magpie, blue-capped redstart, rusty-tailed flycatcher,
grey-backed shrike, yellow-breasted green finch etc. Return from the birding
expedition and freshen up yourself at the cottage. Now, you can have dinner
in the open sky and enjoy bonfire. Sleep early tonight for we would be
getting up early next day.
Day - 03 : Birding at Pangot
Morning is the best time for bird viewing when birds come out of their
little nests to take first breath of the fresh air and welcome a new day
with their euphoneious orchestra. Get up as early as six in the morning and
get set for a morning trail around the area with our guide who will tell you
about different birds, their characteristics and habitat. Although you may
not be able to capture good photographs due to lack of proper light but can
wait for the sun rise to entrap some of the majestic birds in your camera.
After a good stroll around, come back to the cottage to take a shower and
have breakfast. You must also pack your bags and keep them safe inside our
coach so that we are able to leave for
Corbett as early as possible.
Once you close your plate, carry your binoculars and head for birding with
our guide who will take you deepest cores to have a view of very interesting
avian life. Birds at Pangot include: Baggar, Timla Pani, Cheena Peak &
Nainital. One can see slaty-headed & red-breasted parakeet, grey
bushchat, long-tailed & grey-backed shrike, common kestrel, besra,
chestnut-bellied rock thrush etc. Streaked laughing thrush is a common
garden bird here. Your lunch will be served to you outside the cottage.

Leave for Corbett at around six in the evening. Corbett is two hours drive
from Pangot. As you reach Corbett, we will transfer you to a wildlife resort
that we have booked on your request. You can freshen up and have lunch.
Sleeping early would be benificial as you can start early next day.
Day - 04 : Birding at Corbett:
Get up early in the morning and leave for the woods. Our guide will take
you for a morning stroll around the park to have a view of rarest species of
avi-fauna. After a short conversation with the woods, come back for a wash
out of all dirt that you have carried along with you and have a healthy
breakfast. Our guide will now take you lower jungle tracks along Ramganga
River which is treasure trove of birds like lapwings, waders, mergansers and
other waterfow. After a meeting with these water birds, you may have a view
of birds like:long-tailed nightjar, jungle owlet, spot-bellied owl, common
stonechat, black francolin, purple and crimson sunbird, golden-fronted &
orange-bellied leafbird, black-shouldered kite, hen harrier, changeable
hawk-eagle, chestnut-tailed starling etc in the grasslands. We would serve
with lunch in between your journey of the woods so as to make you travel
undisturbed. After day's bird sighting activity, we would be taking you back
to cottage to serve you with hot and delicious dinner and rest for the next
day's safari tour to Corbett.
Day - 05 : Birdwatching at Corbett
We would give you a wake up call at around six, early in the morning. Have
tea or coffee and move for bird watching expedition with our guide, on an
elephant's back. There is a famous watchtower from where you can view
exquisite bird life of the jungle. Spend hours spotting some of the rarest
species of birds. Come back for breakfast and now you can drive on jeeps to
spot tigers and wild beasts. Along this journey, you can watch some of
intersting birds here. So me of the best birding areas of Dhikala are
Sambhar Road and Khinanauli. One can expect to see great slaty woodpecker,
great hornbill, puff-throated babbler, white-rumped shama, pallas's fish
eagle etc. Come back to the cottage in the evening, have dinner and make
overnight stay. If you are not tired, we can also arrange a bonfire and
barbecue for you, if you mention it to our assistant. It was the last day in
the Corbett, so spend the last night out in open, sharing your adventures
and encounters in the jungle and feel good about the trip. Ask all kinds of
questions about the park, from our guide and listen to hair raising and
spine tingling experiences that he tell you.
Day - 06 : Back to Delhi
After days of wild expeditions, we would move back to Delhi for onward
journey. As you get up ealry in the morning, we would have breakfast and
move back to Delhi at around nine in the morning. You will be served with
food in the mid way. It will take around six hours to reach Delhi. Upon
arriving at Delhi, we would check in a hotel that you have mentioned us to
book for you. Rest for the day here and we would drop you at the airport for
onward journey. If you have your flight, the next day, you can make an
overnight stay at the hotel.
