Day
1 : Arrival Delhi
On arrival you will be received by our representative and escorted to the
hotel. We would want you to take a rest from the journey. After that you
will be exploring the major tourists attractions of the old
Delhi for the entire day. We will start
from the
Jama-Masjid, which is the largest
mosque in India. It was built during the rule of Emperor Shah Jahan. The
mosque is made of red stone and white marble. You will be asked to enter the
Mosque barefooted and head should be fully covered. Next comes the Rajghat
on your tour package. Rajghat is a place where Mahatama Gandhi the
Father of the Nation was cremated following his assassination in 1948.
Thereafter we will be taking a sightseeing tour in and around Rajghat and
will be making a visit to the two museums dedicated to the Mahatma Gandhi.
You can also simply laze down in the garden area of Rajghat. Then we will
move towards the Chandni Chowk. First of all we will hang out at the eating
joints of Chandni Chowk, which are famous all over India. After taking the
delicious lunch of Parathas and Kababas, we will take the Rikshaw ride in
the market of Chandni Chowk. If you love to shop here, then the best thing
that you can buy are the saris, pearl, silver and gold plated jewellery. No
visit to this area is complete without sampling a jalebi the sweet made of
flour and sugar. While in Chandni Chowk you will feel the old worldly charm
still lingering. Then you will be transferred to the hotel for the overnight
stay.
Day 2 : Delhi Kathmandu - Paro
Next morning you will transferred to the Indira Gandhi International
Airport for flight to Kathmandu. The flight offers you the beautiful view of
the mountains and snow capped peaks. Meet and assist at the airport and
transfered to the hotel. Day 2 is dedicated to the visit of Paro via
Kathmandu. After that we will be taking the excursion trip to the Tiger's
nest, also known as Taktsang monastery. It is the place of pilgrimage for
the local people. We have also arranged a short horse riding trip for you.
The trip will take you through the villages and pine forests. In between we
will stop to taste Emadaste (dish made of chillies in cheese sauce). In the
evening we will visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel dzong, which attract
thousand of visitors through out the year. Witness the collection of old
paintings and admire its unbelievable beauty. There after we will visit the
national museum located in Ta Dzong, that displays a rich collection of art
and weapons. Dinner at night with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Paro Sightseeibng
In the morning hours of the third day venture through the terraced farms
and visit some of the oldest temples and monasteries of Paro. Also witness
the production of the red rice and fruits while in Paro. After taking the
nature walk in the nearby areas, we will pay a visit to the Rinpung Dzong
the monastery here was first built by the Guru Padmasambhava during the
tenth century. It is the myth that it was built by the villagers during the
day and by the spirits during the night. Than we will make a move towards
the Kyichu Lhakhang, which is considered as highly sacred, it is the
composition of two temples. Next on your tour comes the Kila Gompa, which
was erected for the nuns who present their lives for the spiritual causes
like religious studies and meditation. The most exciting thing that you can
do while in Paro are trekking and hiking. For which we have already arranged
the team of expert guides especially for you. In the evening go for the walk
to the colourful shops, bug some of the traditional costumes, local products
and fabrics too. Enjoy the cultural dance performed by the local people
wearing masks. After the dinner go to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 4: Paro- Thimphu
Drive towards Thimphu on the day 4 of the tour. We would book a room for
you in a hotel where you can drop in your luggage. Your journey would begin
from the Tashichho Dzong (the fortress the glorious religion). It was first
built in 1661. It now constists of main government departments, National
Assembly, the throne room of the King and summer head quarters of the
Central Monastic Body. Simtokha Dzong is the another main attraction of
Thimphu that comes next on our tour. It is the oldest Dzong in Thimphu and
is also the gateway to the Thimphu Valley. Admire the beautiful frescos and
slate carvings in Simtokha. After lunch we will move towards the Handicrafts
Emporium and will shop for some of the exotic items such as papier-mâché
masks, prayer wheels, decorative motifs, silk-screened handmade paper,
rings, ornaments for clothing, woven wool and silk clothe. Take home the
collection of prestigious stones sold by the people in the local market.
Then we will stop for the lunch at the local restaurant, where we will taste
Dartsi and Ema Dartsi the famous dish that are cooked here.

Thimphu
is the heaven for the spicy food lovers, not a single dish is cooked here
without the red chillies. After lunch we will go for the wildlife excursion
in Thimphu. Enjoy the famous yak safari while in Thimphu. Entertain yourself
listening the melodious songs of the variety of birds. Enjoy the thrills of
river rafting and engage yourself in hiking. We have the team of experts
that will guide you through out the trekking routes in Thimphu. After the
full day enjoyment return to the hotel. Take rest and prepare yourself for
the next excursion trip.
Day 5 - Thimphu Punakha Wangdi
After breakfast leave for Punakha in the morning. We will take a scenic
drive across the Dochula Pass (Punakha), where you will have the superb view
of the mountains and its rich flora. We will stop for the tea at the
cafetaria at the pass. Then we will take sightseeing tour, admire the beauty
of the Bhutanese art. It is the old capital of Bhutan. Punakha Dzong is a
superb example of the intricate Bhutanese style of architecture. After that
we will go for the hiking up to the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten Perched
high on a hill on the opposite side of the river. We have provides the
facility of free guide to instruct you at every step. There after take the
nature walk through magnificent forest of rhododendron and magnolia.
Discover the rich flora and fauna of this place. Spot the snow leopards,
takin and blue sheep. Than move towards the Chime Lakhang or the temple of
fertility. After lunch proceed towards the Wangdi District. Enchant with the
local people here, who are known for their warm behaviour. Take home items
made of bamboo, slate items and work of stone carvings as souvenirs. Take a
view of the solitary houses on the hills and the noble forts blessed by the
Buddhism. The fluttering prayer flags and the smiling people are some of the
views that will stay in your mind for the years to come. In the evening
explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day
6 :Wangdi Phubjikha - Wangdi
On the 6th day of the tour, you would pack your bags for the sightseeing
trip to Phubjikha, which is the high glacier valley just beyond the Pele La
Pass. On the way spot the black necked cranes that are considered as highly
endangered species. Along with that enjoy the panoramic Himalayan views and
evergreen forests. Here we get the chance to visit the famous Dzong, built
in 1647 and is the largest Dzong in the country. After that we have planned
to visit the famous Gangtey Gompa, the oldest and largest Nyingma Buddhist
monastery in Bhutan, that is located on a hill overlooking the beautiful
valley. After lunch we will take up the trekking trip passing through the
valleys and miniature forests of dwarf bamboo, the favourite food of the
yaks. There after we will be strolling the small temples and idyllic
villages on foot or on the bicycle. Enjoy the private performance by the
local dance troupe in the evening. Drive towards Wangdi for the overnight
stay.
Day 7 :Wangdi- Thimphu
Next morning again take the excursion trip to the Thimphu. After rest we
will visit the National Memorial Chorten, a monument dedicated to the third
king of Bhutan. The paintings and statue inside reflect the essence of
Buddhism. After taking the insight view of the Chorten Memorial, we will pay
a visit to the National Library, which holds the vast collection of ancient
Buddhist manuscripts. Cheri Monastery is the tourist spot that we would be
exploring on our trip. We will also make a visit to the Painting School
where children learn the traditional techniques of drawing and painting.
After taking lunch trek through the picturesque medieval villages and the
towns rich in cultural spots. In the evening shop for the local items. Also
visit the gold and silversmiths and learn about their art. After the long
day excursion shift to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 8 :Thimphu- Paro
After breakfast, pack your bags and get ready to move towards the Paro
Spend full day visiting the eco attractions of Paro which you might have
missed earlier.Enjoy the cultural programmes in the evening along with the
traditional dinner.
Day 9: Paro -Delhi
In the morning hours of the 9th day you will be transferred to the Paro
airport for the flight to
Delhi.
