Beautiful
relics of illustrious kingdom of Vijayanagar known as Hampi is one of the
sought after tourist spots in India. Hampi holds many pleasant surprises,

fountains, two storeyed beautiful Lotus Mahal, and the mammoth elephant
stables.

Architectural
beauty bestowed Hampi as one the famous places in India. Beautiful temples
with elegantly crafted sculptures are relics of some beautiful architects.

Outside the temples, a granite chariot of the sun god proudly stands in a
central courtyard. Noteworthy architectural marvel is Vitthala Temple, which

December Zeal- Hampi Festival
In the first week of December, the desolate streets of Hampi come alive
when ruined city plays host to a colorful festivals of dance and music, also
known as Vijaya Utsav of Karnataka. The city is then brimming with people
form states as well from different part of the world to witness the merry
event in an open environment. This festival is organized by government of
Karnataka, invites some of the distinguish people in the field of art,
dance, music and drama. Other attractions are puppet show, fire show and
processions that bring back to life the memories of erstwhile epoch.

convenient airports are Belgaum (190 km) and Bangalore (353 km).
By Train : The nearest rail point is Hospet from where
one travels another 12 kilometers by road to reach Hampi. Hospet is
connected with rail to
Bangalore,
Bijapur,Hubli and Guntakal.
By Road : Regular bus services from Bangalore to Hospet.
