May 8, 2007, it was 6 p.m., sun was setting down and I started my journey
from Chandigarh to Solan, Himachal Pradesh. After crossing the plains, I
entered in the breath taking hills of Himachal. The zig-zag roads, sky-high
mountain, lush green trees, were too much to entire me. Slowly, it was
getting dark and mountain turned out as a sky with so many glittering stars.
I was surrounded with heaven all around. My passion for long drive and love
for hills was getting satisfied with these magnificent scenic vistas.
Ultimately, after drive of two and half hours I reached at my destination
Solan. There I stayed at my uncle’s place.
Nestled in the fest of beautiful mountains, my uncle’s place was a
heaven from hustle-bustle in Chandigarh for me. I woke up early in the
morning, had my breakfast and set out to visit this awesome city. Commuting
is very easy, if you like to walk otherwise there are several autos
available at your service to help you in traveling from one place to
another. If you too love shopping, visit Mall road, where you can find
everything from a small pin to a big can. When I got tired, I thought about
eating something spicy, so I walked into a sweet shop and I had
Channa-Bhatura satisfy my appetitive. There are many other restaurants and
Hotels too to delicious food. After spending a fun-filled on the roads of
the city, I started my journey back to Chandigarh.
After spending a fun filled day on the roads of Solan, I packed my bags and
started my journey back to Chandigarh. My trip to Solan was rejuvenating and
refreshing. I was again filled with enthusiasm and energy to work.
