The twin towns of Mathura and Vrindavan are remarkable for their temples
and ghats. These holy towns are in Uttar Pradesh and are only separated by a
distance of 15 kms. Mathura, the birth place of Lord Krishna presents a
gateway to the life and times of Lord Krishna. Their temples still bear the
mysticism of those times. There are two main temples Janambhoomi and
Divarkdhish temple, in the town. Every year hundreds of thousands devotees
from across globe visit Mathura.
A 15 km stretch from Mathura will take you to Vrindavan, the holy town,
where Lord Krishna spent his formative years. The town has many temples and
ghats, resonating the era of Lord Krishna and his consort Radha. The
architecture of the temples is simply awe inspiring. The town has a mystic
feel that in stills in you a desire to visit Vrindavan again and again.
