I recently visited to a village of Ranchi with my friend. The village lies
in the outskirts of the city & actually inhabited by tribal people of
Ranchi of Omaon, Munda, and Ho Tribe. The people were simple. The most
remarkable feature was the same age. Old architecture of the houses &
roads. The whole village was surrounded by hills & there was a river
also. So, a complete amalgamation of natural things. I participated in the
marriage ceremony of a tribal young man. Really, these are the people who
have preserved the actual wet, culture and heritage of India whether it is
dance, drama a marriage ceremony, folk lore, songs etc.
The place can be developed as a tourist destination because it has all the
potential which a traveler can enjoy. Actually it can be developed as a
living heritage & a heritage trail can be organized for the tourist.
Apart from this, the old dance, drama & folk come can be promoted to
attract the tourist. By doing all these, not only the culture & heritage
can be preserved but also, a source of revenue & employment can be
generated for the native people. And that place has potential for all these
things.
