Rishikesh - Delhi
A spiritual practice followed in India, brings
together body and soul. Letting each organ breath fresh air and brings you
close to a stage on enlightenment and self development. Mingling the two, it
acts as great healer for all kinds of physical pains and mental agony. The
roots of yoga and meditation lies in India. But practicing this unique art,
one needs specialized training and knowledge of the Shastras and Upnishads.
The following yoga tour package, takes you to all the major yoga centers of
India. Here, we not only indulge in sightseeing but spend quality time
during naturalistic way of exercising.
Day - 01 :
Arrive Delhi Arrive at Delhi International Airport where you will find our
assistant waiting for you. We would transfer you to an Ayurvedic resort
which we have booked for you, on your prior request. Here, you can rest and
have an overnight stay. Sleep early as we would be waking up early next
morning for first yoga session.
Day - 02 : Yoga Session and Delhi Sightseeing
You will get a wakeup call at around six in the morning, from the resort
and get set for a Yoga session. Amidst of green surrounds, flowering
gardens, fresh air and rising sun, rejuvenate your body with all kinds of
'Asanas' (body postures). An experienced yoga instructor will help you
meditate and yoga. Breath fresh air of the green resort, welcome the rising
sun with your stretched arms and feel perked up after two hours of yoga
session.
You can now get back to your rooms, take a shower and get ready for the
breakfast. Since, it is a yoga tour, we will serve you with a healthy diet
with no fats or spices. After you have your breakfast, board at the coach
waiting for you outside the resort. We would now, take you for a sightseeing
tour to Delhi. You would be provided with a personal guide who would tell
you about history and architecture of the city. Starting with Qutab Minar(as
Mughal Edifice with a high tower), we would visit places like India Gate,
President's House, Humayu's Tomb and then, move to Old Delhi area of
Chandani Chjowk for lunch. We have put typical Indian cuisine serve but you
can feel free to ask our assistant to arrange menu according to your taste.
After lunch, you can have a walking tour to the narrow streets here and have
a view of some of the century old buildings here. You can also buy some of
the traditional Indian dresses and taste some exquisite variety of sweets
and other dishes.
At around six in the evening, we would assemble near our coach and move
back to our resort. Take a shower and pack your bags as we would making
overnight journey in a train to Haridwar. Once you are ready with your bags
and are fresh, we would serve you with dinner and leave the resort for
Haridwar.
Day - 03 : Haridwar
It would take four hours to reach Haridwar by train. We would recommend you
take a short nap during the journey so that you are able to attend morning
yoga session at Haridwar. We'll be arriving late in the night here. You
would be transferred to a Yoga and Meditation Resort at Haridwar that we
have booked on your request. You can rest here for some time and then attend
an early morning Yoga session with a teacher. This session will last for at
least two hours. You can take a shower and have breakfast which includes the
menu referred by the Yoga experts. It is advisable to follow and adhere to
the the food that these experts have recommended.
After breakfast, you can leave for sightseeing tour to some of the famous
Hindu Temples and take a dip in holy Ganges. We would take you for a visit
to one of the oldest temples in the town called Daksha Temple, a Shiva
Temple, also visit the mercury Shiva Lingam Temple, (famous for the
solidified mercury shivlingam, said to be done by a saint through his
meditation). Lunch will be provided to you within the walking tour itself.
You must come back to hotel to continue the yoga classes in the evening.
After that go for short walk in the market in the town. Watching the 'aarti'
or evening prayer at the banks of holy Ganges will mesmerizing and will
raise your hair, tingle your spine with the love and devotion of devout who
travel miles to offer prayers to this river. You can relax on the banks of
the river in soltitude during evening.

Come back for dinner at around eight in the evening and go to sleep by
nine. If you indulge in Yoga, you need to follow strict schedule for a day.
Sleep as early as nine and sooth yourself in the room of this resort.
Day - 04 : Haridwar-Rajaji National Park
Wake up early in the morning and attend a Yoga session like the previous
day. After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour to Chandi Devi Temple
which is an 8th century Hindu shrine in Haridwar. You can choose to reach
this magnificent temple, either by rope way or climb by steps. Situated on
the top of a hill it provides the magnificent view of the town along with a
majestic view of high Himalayan ranges. After a visit to the temple, we
would come back to ashram / resort for lunch and then in the afternoon visit
the other places of interest or just relax in the resort. Enjoy another yoga
session at the resort. We would be leaving for Rajaji National Park in the
evening which is located about 9km from here. Upon reaching here, we would
transfer you to a very interesting wildlife resort which would welcome you
with a bonfire and open air dinner. Lay outside tonight in the camps and
enjoy a good camping experience, singing and dancing with friends. Make an
overnight stay in the camp.
Day - 05 : Rajaji National Park
Wake up early in the morning and undertake a yoga session without a
teacher. Take and shower and take your breakfast at the wildlife resort.
Today, we would take you to a safari tour around Rajajaji National Park and
you can enjoy a great adventure expedition. Rajaji National Park covers a
significant part of Haridwar Range Reserve. At its southern end lies the
famous Chilla lake. You can spot animals like elephants, sloth bears,
jackals, leopards and wild dogs. Birds like pied hornbill, red breasted
rollers, kingfishers, flycatchers and stroks. The wide range of elephants
here, attract a lot of tourists. Your lunch will be provided to you in the
middle of safari expedition. You can also choose to go for cycling tour or
fishing in Rajaji. We would leave for Rishikesh in the evening, which is an
hours drive away from Rajaji. Our coaches will wait for you outside the
resort which will take you to Rishikesh. At Rishikesh, we would transfer you
a green lodge where you can accomplish your eco-activities. At this resort
you will be welcomed in typical Indian style. The food served here would be
very Indian and healthy. You can have dinner here and make an overnight
stay.
Day - 06 : Rishikesh
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy an enchanting Yoga session with
experts at the lodge. Breath fresh air and fragrance of dewy flowers in the
morning and wash away all the negative feelings. You can take a bath after
rejuvenation session and can have breakfast at the lodge. The food will be
served on banana leaf without cutlery and you will be made to eat while
sitting on a floor; a typical Indian style of taking meals. After the
breakfast, take your camera along and visit the famous Ashrams, some of
which are internationally recognized as centre of Philosophical studies,
yoga and meditation.
Rishikesh is also famous for white water sports. You can enjoy river
rafting at fast flowing basins of river Ganga in the morning. Your lunch
will be served at the banks of holy Ganges but ensure that you do no throw
away food packets and other waste material around its banks. Always use dust
bins for you are on a eco-tour. After light lunch, you can choose to go for
trekking or continue with water sports or can relax in scenic surrounds of
the fast flowing river. We would organize camping and bonfire for you. It
would be our last day, close to nature so we can arrange different kinds of
fun activities during night. After all the fun and pranks, you can sleep in
your little tents and mesmerize day's expedition. Next morning, we would be
moving back to Delhi.
Day - 07 : Delhi
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy doing yoga in open air. You can
freshen up yourself and take in last dip in holy Ganges and get ready fro
onward journey. We would you with breakfast in the coach itself. Board at
the coaches and we would make you board at a train to Delhi from Haridwar.
It would take four hours to reach back to Delhi. At Delhi, one of our
assistant will receive you from the railway station and transfer to a hotel.
Now, Delhi's Railway Stations are also full of life. You would find potters,
taxi drivers, small kids rushing towards you hire their services or buy a
cup of coffee from them. They can make you go mad therefore, do not pay much
heed to what they say. Rest at the hotel room that we have booked for you
and prepare yourself for the onwards journey. We would transfer you to the
airport depending upon the time of your flight. For those who have flights
next day can make an overnight stay at the hotel.
